Do you have connections to Gladesville? 

We are interested in hearing from anyone with relatives who have lived in Gladesville, been married to former Gladesville residents, have spent time in Gladesville, or who might be collectors of memorabilia about our little community. Because we are currently collecting information for a book on our local area, we are seeking:

Ø      Old newspapers with relevant information (especially copies of the 1900-1901 Gladesville Gleaner)

Ø      Songs, poems, or ballads about the community

Ø      Old photographs (both candid shots and formal poses)

Ø      Letters from or to Gladesville residents

Ø      Stories about the community

Ø      Information about cemeteries or obituaries

Ø      Any school or educational system information or memorabilia

Ø      Civic groups or local businesses

Ø      Strawberry Festival information

Ø      Civil War information that’s about the area or families who had members called to service

Ø      Old records (land sales, personal property sales, old account ledgers, etc.), and

If you are willing to share your information with us, we will carefully make copies and then credit you in our history books.
